Introducting Yotra Ltd

ITSO Ltd is rebranding its mobile ticketing subsidiary company ITSO Transit Hub as Yotra Ltd.

Yotra Ltd continues ITSO Transit Hub’s mission to bring ITSO, the UK’s trusted national smartcard, to mobile phones with Google Pay. Integrating with transport retail mobile applications and websites, Yotra’s mobile ticketing solution, ITSO on Mobile, securely delivers purchased tickets, within seconds, directly to the Google Pay digital wallet on the phone, enabling an instant, secure and seamless ticketing experience for passengers in the UK.

Steve Wakeland, Director, Yotra Ltd, says: “The rebranding announcement marks the separation of ITSO, a standards and security organisation, and Yotra, which fulfils tickets to mobile devices. Yotra’s Transit Hub is a technical development integrating ticket requests from transport operators and ticket retailers with Google Pay. Having launched the first mobile solution in 2018, we now see the potential for the business to develop into other areas associated with transport and ticketing. It’s important that the fledgling business has its own brand and direction while we remain dedicated to the needs of our members through ITSO.

ITSO on Mobile, which uses the transit hub, is the first solution from the subsidiary company and continues to attract interest from transport operators and ticket retailers.

Wakeland continues: “So far, ITSO on Mobile has been successfully rolled out on West Midlands Metro and additional trials are taking place across the UK, including First Bus in Glasgow.”

The Yotra brand will be unveiled for the first time at Transport Ticketing Global in London on 28 – 29 January 2020 at booth number C11.
